Night Fishing for Specks - Go on Top When the Bite Slows
Night feeding speckled trout chasing live shrimp skipping across the surface are exciting to watch and are usually easy to catch. At times their numbers can be quite large and their rapid popping and slurping while feeding can make the water appear as if someone is repeatedly tossing in handfuls of gravel.
Typically, plastic bait tails or double rigged jigs/worms are the number one choice of most night fishermen. Popular colors that will usually work anywhere on the coast are the standard: white, hot pink, red, and chartreuse.
At times, however, the specks are quite skillful at ignoring the artificial baits while feeding in a frenzy on the hapless shrimp and baitfish that float by in the current. If you should encounter this situation, the problem is your bait. It does not match the mental pattern the fish have for what they are feeding on and changing colors will likely not have much effect. They may also have become "trained" to ignore the same looking baits that bombard them night after night.
One thing that will usually get their attention, though, when they are feeding but ignoring underwater baits is to switch to a 3-1/2 inch, or so, topwater bait. The topwater will remain in the direction the fish are looking, which is up, and its going to get a whole lot more eyeballs focused on it, especially if it rattles. The change in fish hook ups should be immediate and dramatic.
One little trick to supercharge a topwater, and really upset the other anglers around you, is to add a bucktail trailer with either a small single or treble hook at the end. Just tie about a 6 inch piece of monofilament line (15 to 20 lb. test is all you need) to the rear eye of the topwater, and the hook and bucktail to the other. Bucktail colors that work great are red, white, yellow and chartreuse. This also works extremely well on a spoon.
Night fishing is a sure way to beat the summer heat on the Gulf Coast, just don't forget the mosquito spray.

Soccer - Hisory of a Popular Sport
Soccer began in England in the early 1830's as a popularsport for working-class communities. It was seen as a wayof keeping the children out of trouble around the house andwhile they were in school. They could relieve frustrationand learn to work as a team, important concepts to helpthem grow and adjust to life as adults.
In 1857, the first clubs were formed in Sheffield. Within 10 years, the clubs had enough of a following to form their own association, the Football Association, around 1867.
After the first matches between associations such as theSheffield Football Association and the London FootballAssociation, the clubs decided that official rules wereneeded that could be followed between clubs.
The groups got together and began trying to establish rules that everyone would approve, but there were many issues that could not be resolved. Although they eventually came up with rules, part of the group branched off and created the Rugby Football Union.
Although in America, the sport is called soccer, throughoutmuch of the rest of the world it is known as football, andwhat Americans know as football is called Americanfootball.
Soccer first entered the United States through the upperclass; it was played by schoolboys and college men, butthere was not a formal soccer club until 1862 when theBoston Oneida soccer club was formed.
Generally, this is considered the first club to carry a regular roster, because until this time pick-up games were the norm. The club was an elite subsection of the population that would play against pick-up teams. Throughout the four-year history of the Oneida Soccer Club, they never lost a game.
Beginning in the 1920's, soccer really began to gain aplace in America. The American Soccer League was founded in1921, guaranteeing that the game was here to stay; it wasalmost as popular as the National Football League for atime.
Eventually, the game and the clubs began to be available to children and adults from the lower socio-economic classes with the formation of a new league, termed the ASL. Since this formation, soccer has become an increasingly popular sport throughout the United States.
Today many people around the world stop everything duringthe World Cup Finals to watch the game and cheer for theirteam. If you want to know more about soccer, search theInternet or visit with someone from your local league.

Poker Affiliate Program Marketing: Website Ideas
One of the primary considerations you must have when deciding to become an affiliate is how as a website owner you intend to promote the sites that you advertise. In an industry as large as online gaming or more particularly poker, there is plenty of scope for subject matter and material. One thing that must be considered if you are designing a site specifically with affiliate marketing in mind, and that is how you wish the content to present your advertisements.
There are two distinct opportunities in which to market your site and your products. Essentially if you are attempting to make affiliation a business you can earn serious money from, you have to treat the adverts as your product. Just like a shop online or otherwise might promote particular items in order to maximise profits, so must a successful affiliate. Except the affiliate is actually marketing for another site in order to make their money, and not selling any products for themselves.
The first of the two methods is a rather overt and unashamed promotional website. Offering very little in the way of actual information, you can create a site that bombards visitors with adverts and links. This is a rather simplistic and easy way of marketing sites. It is also the least time consuming option as all that is really needed is a small blurb, a few adverts and some emotive language. Essentially the website becomes a portal to poker establishments, rather than a useful informative site. There is nothing wrong with this in the slightest but it may not produce the results you require.
The second option is a little more secretive and serves a purpose rather than simply being a shameless advertising page. If you create a site dedicated to the game of poker, or just an aspect or particular game within the overall genre (for example Texas hold 'em), you can generate the interest and bring in the required audience. This is a more time consuming and serious approach, requiring some background knowledge and perhaps some monetary investment to make it of the desired quality. If you make a living breathing poker site, there is a good chance that you will be able to attract a number of poker players and as such tempt the potential clientele of the poker sites.
By making the language more passionate and interesting a website owner can tempt or persuade their visitors to try and hopefully join a site via their links. This second approach is arguably the more successful of the two. For those fortunate enough to already have a website on poker or a similar subject then the battle is already half won. All that will be needed is to sign up to an affiliate program get your advertisements and start making your website work for you.
